Doctors Hospital Men Mentor Simpson Penn Students

Each month, a group of Doctors Hospital’s male Associates spends time mentoring the students at the Simpson Penn School for Boys. The Doctors Hospital Mentorship Team recently teamed up with the Church of Christ Transformers Group to take on the students in a game of basketball to reinforce teamwork and camaraderie.

For more than a year, this group of dedicated, community minded Doctors Hospital Associates has offered support and guidance to the young men during monthly visits to the school...

Second grade students got a real treat when the BTC Limitless Reading tour stopped at Eva Hilton Primary School. BTC brand ambassador and noted recording artist Nehemiah Hield read the book, “Water for Monique”. BTC launched its reading tour to share the importance of reading at an early age with children. The BNT’s Christmas Jollification could hardly have been more jolly as near record crowds, approximately 8,000, turned out for the two-day one night event at the BNT’’s Retreat Garden on Village Rd., Nov. 17-19. A “Jolli” vibe filled the garden setting at the BNT Retreat, created by live music and festive cocktail samples from Bristol Wines & Spirits, main sponsor of this important fundraiser for the Bahamas National Trust.  

“It’s a major fundraiser for the Trust and it gets the Christmas Spirit soaring each year in our Mistletoe Lounge,” says Carlynn Sands, Retail Marketing Manager for major all-time sponsor Bristol Wines and Spirits.

Long committed to the advancement and education of Bahamian Youth, The Bahamas Telecommunications  Company (BTC) participated in Grand Bahama Island's annual College fair which took place on November 19, at the Bishop Michael Eldon Auditorium. The fair gave students from across the island an opportunity to preview tertiary institutions from the United States and Canada. It was also an opportunity for BTC to provide a unique perspective on the opportunities available for young Bahamians within the company and within the field of communications as a whole.
