The Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase (TCFS) is being presented in several Caribbean islands, screening more than 20 films from around the Caribbean. Films will be shown in Nassau, February 19 – 21, 2018, from noon to 9:00 p.m. on February 19 and 21 and on February 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All screenings are free to the public. Freeport- Grand Bahama Island - The Bahamas Federation of Performing Arts announces the first of a series of events, a Legal Round Table. The round table discussion covers the legal steps for one to take in order to protect their creative works via Copyright, Trademarks and patents. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday February 20th, 7pm at Mackey Media Studios located at Grand Lucayan behind the former Paradise Jewels, just outside of the old casino exit.
 
Admission is free for members and and $5 donation for non members. Seating is limited and available via online registration at: https://tinyurl.com/legalbfpa. The presenter for the evening is BFPA Legal Affairs Director, Attorney Jacy Whitaker.

On Thursday, November 9th, The Pro Gallery at the University of The Bahamas will introduce emerging Bahamian creative Allan Jones and his photographic series ‘A Gull’s View’. His collection of aerial photographs survey the vast beauty and complexity of archipelagic shapes and forms spanning the islands of The Bahamas. Appreciating the abstract of a place he calls home Jones offers a unique perspective to the geography and history of this tropical paradise.

Cargo Stars Warren Brown, Jimmy Jean-Louis & Omar J Dorsey to attend Gala Premiere at Atlantis

The stars and producers of Cargo will descend upon the Atlantis Movie Theatre on October 19 for the Gala Premiere of the award-winning film – the largest Bahamian film project in history.

Warren Brown, one of Britain’s most illustrious actors, leads a cast of established and emerging actors in this action packed human drama.

Brown is well known for his roles as Andy Holt in the teen soap opera Hollyoaks, Lee Hibbs in the three-part BBC drama series Occupation and DS Ripley in acclaimed BBC crime drama Luther.
